Your Visit


The annual concert of Daniel Barenboim and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra at the Waldbühne is always one of the summer tour’s highlights for many musicians. This year marks the ninth time at the venue, and the only performance of the orchestra in Germany in 2018. Listening with family and friends to music by excellent musicians in the best summer weather is a very special experience for visitors and musicians alike. In order to ensure the evening runs smoothly, please be aware of the recent years’ increased safety requirements imposed by the venue. This applies above all to the objects that visitors are allowed to bring into the venue.

We kindly ask you to take the following information into account in order to pass the security gates of the Waldbühne:

You may take along:

• Bags and backpacks up to a max. size DIN A4, approx. 20x30cm

• Blankets and seat cushions

• Sweaters and Jackets

• one soft drink per person up to 0,5l container size in Tetra Pak or plastic bottle (PET)

Please do not take:

• Stick umbrellas and sticks

• Bulky items, such as: picnic baskets, helmets, prams nor Maxi-Cosi

• Food nor Snacks

• Large telephoto lenses or similar, notebooks, tablets

Take our backpack to the concert for a hassle-free entrance to the venue! Available on the day of the concerts at the luggage deposit outside the Waldbühne. Limited edition, 100% organic jute and cotton 100% bio jute & cotton. Yellow straps.

BUY THE DIVAN BAG BEFORE THE CONCERT

1. Choose between the generously sized DIVAN bag for 9 Eur. and the handy backpack for 7 Eur.

2. Come to our stand at the luggage deposit when approaching the Waldbühne, open from 5pm

3. We´re happy if you have the money ready, cash only (no debit card or credit card)

4. If necessary, put your belongings in the DIVAN-bag and pass the security check smoothly

 

Of course you can also use your own bag up to a maximum size of A4 (21×30 cm) and without inside pockets.

Ticketing


Tickets for the concert of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra at Waldbühne Berlin are sold by CTS Eventim. There are several ways to purchase tickets

At Eventim-ticket agencies in Berlin, Potsdam and in many cities in Germany

 

Your ticket for the Waldbühne is also a ticket for BVG public transportation, valid from 2 hours before the opening of the venue until 3am on the following day, in the tariff sections ABC.

Additional fees:

There is a €2 fee for online purchases that is included in the ticket price. For the mailing of tickets in Germany by standard mail, a fee of €4,90 is added to the ticket price.

Print at home tickets (ticketdirect) are not available for this concert.

At the Eventim-ticket agencies, a fee of €1 or €2 is charged.

Buying tickets on short notice


You may purchase tickets for the West-Eastern Divan until a few hours before the concert, online, by telephone and at the Eventim-ticket agencies.

The box office at the Waldbühne opens at 5pm.

Online and by telephone: Starting one week before the concert, tickets purchased online or by telephone will be deposited at the box office. The fee for this service is €2,90 and will be included in the ticket price. Please note, that there may be queues at the box office.

Eventim-ticket agencies: Tickets may be purchased without mailing fees at the Eventim-ticket agencies until right before the concert. Eventim recommends, that you call in advance, to make sure that tickets in your preferred category are still on sale.

At the Waldbühne-box office, you may purchase without additional fees. Payment can be made by: debit-card, credit card, cash (Euro). Please note, that there may be queues at the box office.

Arrival


We recommend travelling with public transport (BVG). Your concert ticket ticket will be valid as a transport ticket.

Train (S-Bahn): Lines S75, S3 and S5 to station Pichelsberg (9 min walk to/from the Waldbühne) or Olympiastadion (15 min walk to/from the Waldbühne)

Metro (U-Bahn): Line U2 to Olympiastadion subway station (15 min walk to/from the Waldbühne)

By Car

Depending on the time of day, you will find public parking spaces approx. 400m away. Please note the parking prohibition around the area of the Waldbühne. We recommend travelling by public transport.

When can I access the venue? What items can I bring with me?

Admission usually begins 2 hours before the concert begins. Please arrive in time due to the admission controls. Please limit the carry-on to the following items: small handbag, belly bag, small jute & gym bag or a small plastic bag (no IKEA bags). You can also take one non-alcoholic drink per person up to 0.5 litre in a TetraPak or plastic bottle (PET).

Please do not bring large and bulky objects or technical equipment. These include items such as medium and large backpacks, suitcases, baskets, cool bags, helmets, notebooks, tablets, as well as professional camera equipment and GoPros. For a fee of 3.00 € per piece, a very limited number of items can be stored in two delivery stations on the grounds of the Horst-Korber-Sportzentrum (Glockenturmstr. and Passenheimer Str. – opposite the main entrance).

 

Accessability


Ticket

If you would like to attend the concert on a wheelchair and a companion or a walking aid, please contact the ticket hotline 01806 570070 (Monday – Sunday 8am – 8pm, 0.20 €/call from a landline, max. 0.60 €/call from a mobile phone).

Parking

Disabled parking spaces for people with 70% disability or disabled vehicles in car park P08, approx. 100 m from the entrance, approach via Passenheimer Straße.

Access

Wheelchair access is located directly to the right of the main entrance. Please pay attention to the signs, and our ushers will show you the way. Under no circumstances do you have to queue in front of the main entrance. Of course, the respective accompanying person also has access there.

Seats

There are 12 wheelchair seats in a separate area above block K in the upper level. From there you have a good view of the stage, at the same time the toilets and the entrances and exits are in the immediate vicinity. For the respective companion there is a bench, if this should not be sufficient, further seats can be provided.
